The Clause Manchester Academy 2
Loud guitars, big hooks and a crowd bouncing wall to wall
🎸 The Clause – Manchester Academy 2
Wednesday 18th December 2025
We got down to Manchester Academy 2 nice and early for this one, partly to grab a decent spot and partly to catch the support. It turned out to be a good call.
🎶 Support: Kairos
First up were Kairos, a sharp guitar band from Liverpool which I suppose I’ll forgive them for.
Joking aside, they were really good: tight, confident and clearly enjoying themselves. The guitars were on point and they warmed the room up properly. The only downside? They didn’t play my favourite track, Teetotal, which definitely cost them a few bonus points in my book.
Still, a strong opener and one worth keeping an eye on. I’ve been a fan for some time.
🔥 The Clause: Full Throttle Energy
Then it was time for The Clause, a band I’m a big fan of, and they didn’t disappoint.
From the moment they came on, the room was alive.
Big riffs, catchy hooks and a set packed with banging tunes the kind that instantly get a crowd moving. The place was bouncing from front to back, with that proper Academy atmosphere where everyone’s locked in and singing along.
There’s something reassuring about seeing nights like this guitar bands are very much alive and kicking, and The Clause are right at the sharp end of it.
🕰️ An Early Exit (Sadly)
It’s been a tough week, so we ducked out a little earlier than planned and didn’t quite make it to the end of the set. Even so, what we caught was more than enough to remind me why I like this band so much.
No regrets just unfinished business.
🎟️ Looking Ahead
The good news?
We’ll be catching them again in Bridlington in April, and I’m already looking forward to it. If this Manchester show is anything to go by, it’ll be another belter.
🎤 Final Thoughts
A great night, strong support, and a headline set that absolutely delivered.
Loud and full of life exactly what a gig should be.
More of this, please.
